A2 is guided by a singular purpose: to create spaces that are functional, contextual and sustainable; in essence, architecture of true and lasting value.
We innovate, we challenge convention, we change perceptions and push boundaries to deliver buildings that are stimulating, coherent and engaging.
We see change as an opportunity. We design with positive, open minds which makes us more receptive to seeing and doing things differently.
We creatively engage with clients to bring projects to life with ingenuity and inspired design to meet the needs of people today and tomorrow.
We build dynamic relationships that endure. We place clients at the heart of the process so they can share in the plans and we can refine our vision.
James is an honest, passionate, hard-working creative, dedicated to innovation and progressive design. A lover of brand, the abstract, and graphical information, James tries to ensure that each project achieves its own identity and narrative, and that each project’s story is communicated through a series of expressive visual forms.
James founded A2 in 2016 and continues to lead the development of many projects, encouraging bold, contemporary design across the practice’s portfolio.
James studied Architecture at Birmingham City University and furthered his studies with an MSc in Project Management from the University of Birmingham, and a Pg Dip and MA in Urban Design from Oxford Brookes.
